About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To digest as much of the history and art or Rome as possible in 72 hours

ABOUT ME

I'm a student, turning into a researcher/teacher. I'm working a ton - 16 hour days - split between writing my last papers for the MA, and working as an editor for a Dead Sea Scrolls epigrapher.
I love people who are fully alive to history, art, good conversation, and meeting God in the other.
I currently live in Bethlehem, not far from where Ruth wooed Boaz, where the scrolls were found, from where Jesus was born and wandered around.

PHILOSOPHY

love your neighbor; and do what you want. Caveat: this isn't really an answer, just a slogan. But since most thinking in our age revolves around slogans, this is the best I can do.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Showing people around, hosting at my house, being hosted.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've shown people around Bethlehem and Jerusalem.
Since I'm new to CS, I can only relate my first few experiences with couch surfers: first I showed a number of Couch Surfers (staying with some friends of mine) around Bethlehem and Jerusalem.
Then I was hosted in Rome by Giovanni.
Because of CS, my recent trip to Europe, the first time since I was a boy, was not an unmitigated disaster. I was robbed before I set foot in Rome - loosing everything: my passport, wallet, computer, camera. Giovanni paid for my bus card, and let me stay at his home. His mom made me meals. Giovanni, showed me around Rome like a proper tour guide. An Angel in disguise.
