About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To expand my world, personally and professionally

ABOUT ME

First of all I'm somewhat older than 40 which, in CS World, is remarkable in itself! That said, I am certainly living an unconventional life for someone my age: no longer married, working for clients around the world as a writer, explorer, and consultant; and actively engaging with urban life such as politics, music, and a number of community groups. The house itself is funky! Cycling as much and as seriously as I can.

PHILOSOPHY

Nothing that fits on a bumper sticker.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I travel a good deal, for personal and professional purposes, and this is a great way to build a global community as I do it.

Generous, fun hosts all over the Eastern Seaboard of the US, from Virginia to New York and Boston. I've found that rarest of unicorns, a CS room in Hong Kong. And I've enjoyed vastly engaging and even profound conversations with people I've met this way.

I have not been in a position to host very often for the last few years, a combination of extensive work travel and a number, alas, of surgeries. But if you really need something, I may be able to come through and have done so as often as I can.

Interests

Visiting my friends all over the world, and meeting new ones.
