ABOUT ME

I have my feet planted solidly on the ground, yet somehow my head is still floating up in the skies. This means I am quite tall. Of course, that could just be the fact that I am Scandinavian.

When I was young(-er, I am only... never mind) I wanted to become an opera singer, and spent over 10 years studying and practising to achieve that dream. But my body wanted different things, and after an illness left me unable to sing for a few years, I studied different things, including archeology (only to discover that I preferred anthropology) and tourism (only to discover that I much preferred to travel myself, rather than watch other people do it).

I have always loved to travel, but used to return faithfully to my home town in Northern Norway, until one cold November day in 2005, when I dug my way out of the family igloo, fought my way past three polar bears to get to the airport, and headed for Ireland.

After 8 years in Ireland, my feet are back on Norwegian soil, this time I am trying Bergen on for size. You can never have too many friends, so give me a shout if you're in the area and want to meet up for a chat or a free facial.

Now I spend my time running my own business, writing, singing, dancing and saving up for a travel director course, to make my dream of travelling the world and getting paid for it, come true.

I travel quite a bit in my job, but try to host people when I can. I have the smallest apartment in the world, so haven't quite gotten started since coming to Bergen, but will get there eventually.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music, I love books, and I love movies, though if given a choice between a book or a movie, I will choose the book every time.
I have a very eclectic taste, and am open to pretty much anything. For example, I used to sing opera, but many of my musician friends played in metal bands, and I would often help out by providing angelic vocals. My voice can be found on at least two death metal albums somewhere out there...
What I listen to, or what I read, very much depends on my mood at any given time. At the moment I am into paranormal horror stories, yet I am listening to 70's disco music. Make of that what you will...
