About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Change the world in whatever way the Spirit leads me!
ABOUT ME
I'm Brian Rajcok. I am from Bethlehem, CT USA. I graduated Valparaiso University in Indiana in May 2011. I'm currently living in St Paul MN, having just graduated Luther Seminary. I'm here until the end of July and then will be heading back to the east coast to work as a part-time pastor and go to school for my PhD in pastoral counseling. I'm very interested in spirituality, meditation, world religions, and try to keep an open mind about everything. I'm an easy going person and love people!
PHILOSOPHY
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
After meeting so many cool people when I was in Europe and being welcomed into many wonderful homes I really would like to host people now. I have a small apartment in St Paul (technically Lauderdale) with a couple spare futons.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I used couchsurfing a lot when I was abroad in Cambridge, England and now I want to share my home with travelers. I met so many great people and did not have one bad experience. I also got a much better feel for the places I went thanks to my hosts.
My senior year of college in Indiana I hosted a couple of couchsurfers and had great experiences there as well. When I lived in Denver I also hosted couchsurfers and it was a good experience.
Interests
I really like to watch and play sports- baseball, football, and basketball, and soccer if it's the World Cup.
I also enjoy hanging out with friends, going for hikes, reading, discussing anything interesting, especially religion and spirituality. I see us all as one human family and CS is a great way to experience the truth of that.

Music, Movies, and Books
For movies I'm always down for a good comedy. I like mysteries or dramas if the time is right. And the best movie of all time is Davy Crockett!!!
For books I like religious, spiritual, mystical type books that deal with the mysteries of the universe. I'm a big fan of Eckhart Tolle, Thomas Keating, John O'Donohue, Thich Naht Hanh, and other spiritual authors. Also I really like the Redwall book series, and Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter movies are awesome (never read the books though).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went to Israel/Palestine summer 2009 and had a semester in Europe fall 2009. I visited Senegal for 3 weeks in January 2012. And I've traveled through about 3/4 of the United States. My favorite place to visit though is Cape Cod MA where we'd go every summer as a kid.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love learning about just about anything. In school my focus is theology and I love sharing ideas with people about religion, philosophy, psychology, and spirituality. Subjects like astronomy and physics are really cool too. I love discussing these sorts of things, though I've found out over the years that it's much more interesting to listen than to talk. I also mediate daily and would love to share that practice with anyone who is interested.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I have two futons and live in a pretty good location--a half of block away from a bus stop that'll bring you right into downtown Minneapolis. If you're interested in visiting the Mississippi River or in going to the Mall of America (about 20 minutes away) we can hopefully arrange that if I'm free.
