About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Exploring the Pacific Northwest through Oregon, Washington, and Idaho to connect to people and the environments. Plan on moving to one of those areas in the begging of 2017 to buy land, possibly with other people, and cultivate the land and design and build a house, or community with others.

ABOUT ME

I have these 5 year slow burn segments that I go through, then typically move to something else. Early 20s development my career as a drafter, mid 20s lived in San Diego to learn to surf, late 20s and early 30s studied holistic health and traveled the east, and most recently my mid 30s, designed and built a tiny house. Never had a desire to buy a house or land to settle until now. The next 5 years will be focused on building a house that has been in my head and cultivating land to produce food.

PHILOSOPHY

Live life fully and trust your own path. There is no one way, only your way. Honor and respect others if you hope for it yourself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Looking to travel the Pacific Northwest through Oregon, Washington, and Northern Idaho. Looking to move and buy land in that area at the beginning of 2016.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None, but I have met some interesting people over the last 10 years that have traveled that way.

Interests

As a drafting professional, solving design issues is how I sustain myself. The tiny house that I recently finished showed me that I can see a larger project through and is motivating me to take on a more ambitious project. Over the last 3 years, I've experimented with gardens and took some permaculture classes. Hunting is a newer interest of mine and recently starting shooting a recurve. Moving to bring all of this together. Love sharing what I know and learning through helping others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2010, I've travel a year through India, Nepal, Bali, and Australia practicing yoga, surfing, and just getting to know locals. I've spent at least 2 weeks all all of my stops to soak in people's lifestyles from farming in the Himalayas to busing tables at a Vietnamese restaurant in Sydney.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've been a drafting professional for 20 years (Autocad and Revit mainly), have a certification in massage and holistic health, and have recently built a tiny house (youtube search Eddy Hajas tiny house). Through I've never practiced massage to support myself financially, I've held a licences for a few years to do volunteer work.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Anything that I've mentioned in this bio. My body is well able and down frown upon good old manual labor. It's good for the body.
