Katie here...I am Joel's wife and cannot wait to explore more of the world with him. I've been to many countries and want my husband to love travel as much as I do. We both are big readers, love music, and cinema. Joel's a bit goofy, while I run things behind the scenes ;)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We've just joined this site, but my favorite travel memories involve meeting locals and learning more about their lives. Often I've been welcomed into people's homes, have eaten with them, and met their families. This is one of the Best parts of traveling. I have a big debt of gratitude to repay the world, for so much hospitality.

Music, Movies, and Books

The last movie we saw/loved was "Capitalism, a Love Story" by Michael Moore. We are Americans, but not very proud of our economic system. We know most other countries do better for their people.

I have been around the world twice with a program called Semester at Sea (once as a university student, once as an employee).
