About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To satisfy myself and others, and have fun on the way.

ABOUT ME

I'm actually a very private person, and very comfortable with my own company, especially since I often travel alone.
However with the right mix of people and surroundings I can be very sociable indeed!
Experiences mean more to me than possesions.
I used to read a lot of books, but now I prefer to listen to music when travelling. I'm very resourceful at finding power to charge my ipod!

PHILOSOPHY

Tell youself that you're special every day. You are.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We'll see.
On the right day, at the right time, things could get crazy.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It's a small world.
I once spent the whole day and night playing Chess against the old guys on Baja Beach in Goa, and chasing illuminous green crabs on the beach on the way home (no really).
I met a guy from my hometown, who I hadn't met before called Chris. He had just recovered from a major heart operation and was only a few years older than me. He had decided that he may not have long to live, so had sold his flat, and quit his job to travel with his 2 nurse friends. He told me that he had been told to take it easy and not drink or do anything that might shock his heart. Anyway we chatted for ages, and eventually got to my hotel which I was locked out of. He offered me a place in their hotel, as there was a spare hammock. I sad 'yes' (nothing to do with the nurses, honest). At his hotel he suddenly did a 'dive-bomb' into a freezing cold swimming pool, exactly the kind of thing he had been warned NOT to do! And he said 'you only live once'.
The next day we got up and the 4 of us completely randomly got on a boat to Sri Lanka.
These kinds of things I'll never forget.
But you can't try too hard , these things are just meant to happen.
I last got a postcard from him and he was in Fiji, travelling until his money ran out.

Teach, Learn, Share

Make strange choices if you feel right, even though others think you are wrong.

I was a geologist who studied Rocks, and the grains that make them up.
I moved on when I got bored and studied the spaces between the grains, where gas, water or oil fill (called Petrophysics). Geologists think this is weird.
Now I'm the Boss because I can do it all, and not many other people can.
