About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I am on a mission to enjoy life and explore the world, making new friends along the way!

ABOUT ME

As an adventurer and explorer, I love the natural world. But as a modernist, I also love the ultra trendy, technologically minimalist world just as equally. I have a very well rounded personality and generally get along well with anyone I meet. I love getting to know people through sharing stories and experiences. I find that I align my personality most with the likes of Mr. Toad in his constant search for the next great thrilling escapade!

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life by making the most of every opportunity.
"Nothing Ventured, Nothing Gained, Seize the Moment - Seize the Day!"
I believe that all things happen for a reason, trying to remain grateful with a thankful heart at all times, even in difficulties. I treat everyone the way they would like to be treated: with love and respect.
I believe that we should be great stewards of every gift and blessing we receive in life; and pass it along to the next person; spreading hope, joy and cheer in others' lives. I'm also an avid conservationist, and believe in "Taking nothing but pictures, leaving nothing but footprints" and by "Wasting Not, Wanting Not" in implementing the "Three R's" (Reduce/Reuse/Recycle).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We (my wife and I) love to visit friends in their cities/states/countries and usually sleep on their couch, floor, or extra bed. We've had AWESOME adventures and once-in-a-lifetime events come to pass midst our CouchSurfing occasions. Can't wait for the next sojourn!!

Music, Movies, and Books

I went to school for film, so it is hard to answer which movies are my favorites...there is a season for everything. I do not read for enjoyment, or rather, my reading for enjoyment is for knowledge. I only read nonfiction even though I do enjoy a good mystery novel when read to via audiobook. I enjoy all music genres with exception to corporate-produced mainstream country music. I grew up in Nashville (Music City) and had to grow up with country music stars as neighbors and got burned out on the whole country scene by 1st grade.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sat on the back of a live grizzly bear at age 3.
Have ridden Asian and African Elephants, both Bactrian (double humped) and Dromedary (single humped) Camels and been bucked off an Arabian Stallion.
Won 3rd place at a Film Festival for the first film I Produced/Directed, and placed 2nd overall on a Road Course track event at the BMW Performance Center at age 16.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to play a didjeridoo, scratch on turntables, snowboard, do a "J-turn" in a car, and/or drift, and how to tear a phonebook in half using just your hands.

What I Can Share with Hosts

¡Mi casa su casa! I am constantly trying to give generously of my self and my possessions.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belize, Canada, England, France, Ireland, Japan, Mexico, Scotland, Wales
