ABOUT ME

I grew up in small town Alberta. I soon decided the world was just over the far horizon. I decided young that I was born to get to know myself within the context of the universe. I left with the clothes on my back and $20 dollars that I borrowed from mom for a bus ticket. Maybe she thought it would help.

So now I've spent most of my time scrounging for ideas on how I can get to know the universe. It includes maintaining a relationship with my family. I love them, they love me. I think family dynamics are amusing, it's difficult to explain. Isn't it always?

Education is also an important inclusion in the ideas of contextual universe exploration. Yes, that's right, I said that. I've spent more time in skool (sic): vocational college, university, military, etc. than anything else I've done since I left. That's life. I've also worked in the Alberta oilpatch, herded sheep in the Rocky Mountains (Brokeback Mountain style, the sheepherding), truckdriving, and a multitude of other crazy jobs. I've built houses in Australia. (Just north of Cairns, is Kewarra Beach, take a right at the roundabout, and right again, the fifth house on the right hand side is the house that John built). Bali Style Homes, John was the builder, I was the gopher (go fer this, go fer that).

Now I make film. Chances are if you're reading this I'm probably doing something related to the film industry in your area and I'm looking for opportunities to make new friends, a place to stay and a peak over the next horizon.

On a concluding note (tho there's tons more), I have a habit of making moronic jokes that have the desired effect of making my life difficult and interesting (this I've learned).

I've also climbed Cradle Mountain in Cradle Mt. Lake St. Clare Nat. Park, Tasmania Australia.

I've hung out of a helicopter filming Rhino in South Africa.
