CURRENT MISSION
Have fun, swap stories, part of life's rich adventure.
ABOUT ME
Hello, I'm a traveller of old did my OE 33 years ago, stayed away 10 years. I love to swap adventure stories, and talk about places I've been and hearing yours too. Its not always the places that are most interesting but the things that happen to us along the way. I worship regularly at my local Congregational church. I live in a real NZ town of about 1,000 people mostly farmers. We have a great theatre complex here and put on marvellous top notch shows, mostly of which Im involved in. I really love a good laugh but also wear my heart on my sleeve a bit too. I teach reading and speech at our local christian school where my 15 year old daughter used to attend. I have a passion for the spoken word and enjoy writing the odd bit of poetry. I could go on forever, but then there would be no point in wanting to meet me. See you.
PHILOSOPHY
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love to have people come and stay here, I met with a huge amount of hospitality when I travelled overseas. I take great joy in returning the favour. As one american lady said, when I asked how could I ever repay her kindness, she said "pass it on". Please make sure that if bringing a friend with you that they also are registered couchsurfers with a proper profile.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've met many folk in Ireland and the USA. Many had been able to offer me somewhere to stay. Through meeting a couch surfer recently, I decided this is something I'd like to be involved with. I have passion for helping travellers on their way, nice to return the favour.

Music, Movies, and Books
British Comedies, English drama. Music, lots across the board but don't much care for Jazz that has been improvised. You see, sometimes I like to sing along with the tune. One of my favourite movies is "Its a beautiful Life". Favourite musical would be "Finians Rainbow" Books, I thoroughly enjoyed reading Jean Plaidy's historic novels. Favourite story would be Paul Galicos, "The Snow Goose".
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In London, I once played the leading lady in Offenbach's 'Bluebeard'. That was truly amazing and wonderful. Hot footing down the Grand Canyon in Winter was great too. "Beware the Rattlesnake" signs everywhere. How was I to know they hibernate in winter. I gave them a wide berth.
Teach, Learn, Share
I teach speech diction and reading. I belong to our local garden club (although my own garden would not hold testimony to that). I have recently started sewing my first hexagon quilt and loving it. Did Scottish Country dancing for a few years. I love trying out new things. "Don't knock it until you've tried it" I say. I'd love to be confident riding a horse one day....
