ABOUT ME

I guess that I’ve spent ~ nine of the last twelve years of my life outside of New Zealand (the place I feel most at home).. and these times have taken me through many walks of the world.
As an average, each year, I spend around two months working, three months volunteering, two months mountaineering, and five months travelling or staying in places. To many people such ratios of ˋwork to life´ don't make much sense, but I guess it more depends on how you live your life, as to what is possible.

ˋLife is in the moment´.. ˋnothing lasts for ever´.. ˋlove is all´

PHILOSOPHY

It’s the little things in life that are the most important.

Little can be learnt from speaking.

C´est la vie

If you do anything in life then give it everything... there's no good in doing it otherwise.

Only sheep believe that the grass is greener on the other side

If you never expect anything, then you you can never be dissapointed

No more fear than clouds of falling or fish of drowning

An eye for an eye would make the whole world blind

Life is perception, but perception is an illusion... try seeing without looking... listening without hearing.. feeling without judging. If one tunes into the subconscious over the interpretations of their mind, then one can experience something for what it truly is.

Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes

Because of my times traveling in my life, I know what it's like to have the opportunity to meet other smiling, unknown friends, in new places, and to share some smiles, stories and food with them :) For this reason, I also leave my house and life wide open for other travellers to stop by and have a home here, where ever I may currently be.

But in saying this, I am also not interested in having people to stay who are just looking for free accommodation, so if you're writing me a request to come and stay, then please start it with 'hello stranger', as to show that you actually would like to meet me (after having read something about me ;)).
