关于我
CURRENT MISSION
I'm an American who has lived for over 4 years in Senegal and Ghana. I enjoy creating art, meeting radically different people, traversing high mountain passes, and having friendships that contain depth.
ABOUT ME
I have been traveling for over a dozen years, beginning with my first stay in Italy for a semester when I was in my early 20s. Afterwards, I backpacked through Europe and I haven't really stopped traveling since. I have lived and worked for many years on the African continent and have also called Alaska and Colorado home. I work for an experiential educational organization that brings western youth to the developing world and I oversee our programs in Senegal and Rwanda.
PHILOSOPHY
I practice Buddhism, so a lot of my personal philosophies relate to the Buddhist experience. In brief, I believe that this life is short and that we must live genuinely, embracing both the things that bring joy and difficulty.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Since I travel a lot, I stay with a lot of friends. I thought Couch Surfing would be a great way to meet new people, gain new perspectives, and practice my French! I am a considerate guest and would love to help out.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm new to CouchSurfing, though many friends have recommended it.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情
I just spent the last few months hiking in the mountains in Alaska - being in the silent wilderness where the landscape stretches for as far as one can see, working my body in a physical way, embracing the cool, fresh air and being with friends - that is amazing to me!
教,学,和分享
I can share a lot about my experiences living in a village in Senegal for 2 years. The people in my community shared all of their lives with me - their generosity is inspiring and I hope to share what I have learned in the world with everyone I meet.
