About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Trying to be as respectful as possible with the planet and the nature.

ABOUT ME

We are a couple of teachers :oS but we are very friendly ! We have two daughters. We like the nature and all type of culture (music, books, movie, museum, etc). As good French people, we also like good wines and cheese on bread ! But we also like to discover new people and new food, in the same time if possible.
We like traveling, and we plan to travel in a lot of places...

PHILOSOPHY

Carpe Diem

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We are new CS, so for the moment, our contribution to CS was not very active. But we met a lot of CS and talked to them, and they all seemed so happy with that, that we just want to participate much more to CS !

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed once in Romania in 2010. Then in Indonesia and in Japan in 2011.
We promise to host people when we'll be back to France...

Interests

- trekking, climbing, scuba diving,we like nature (little plants, strange rocks, marvelous animals) and the activity that nature provides.
- reading, watching movies, and friends !
- we also really like culture : museums, concerts, cinema, books and so on.

Music, Movies, and Books

We like reading, and we try to read what is connected to the travel we are making. For example, in Russia, we red Dostoievsky. We enjoy a lot the cinema, and we try to go there as often as possible.

some books we recently read and like:
The road - Cormack McCarthy
Le noeud de vipères - François Mauriac
Last night in Twisted River - John Irving
Des grives aux loups - Claude Michelet

some films we saw (again) recently and like:
Lost in translation
Miyazaki films (Spirited away for her, Mononoke Hime for him)

some music we listen:
- Mano Solo
- Radiohead
- Renaud
- Les cowboys fringants
- Noir Désir
- Nick Cave
- ... and so much more

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

teaching 80 children who didn't speak french in a malian classroom...
sunrise on the top of a volcano in Canarian Island.
learning tai-chi in a Chinese temple in the mountain.

Teach, Learn, Share

It is hard to discover a country without talking with the people. And it is difficult to talk with the people if you don't speak the language ! So 2 possibilities : either you learn all the languages, which is quite hard, or you enjoy the hospitality of the couchsurfers !

We love cooking : if you can host us and can cook, we exchange French receipes with local food!
