CURRENT MISSION

At the moment I have given up on the settled life in the lovely bay of Islands to follow my itchy feet, recently they ahve taken me to Australia, Thailand and the USA. Next stop Canada!

ABOUT ME

I am a small town kiwi girl from a large family who loves to travel and follow my itchy feet. My friends know me for being completly blonde at times and reverting to big Sister the next. I love trying new things, eating great food and sampling wine, I should say drinking it really. I love animals and have a mix of them at home.

PHILOSOPHY

Never take the small things for granted, take your time enjoying breakfast and share your dinners with friends. Always try something at least once. And stop making excuses!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently I am traveling and couch surfing with great experinces so far in the USA, each host has helped with local info and hot spots to visit, while we try to reply them with a good home cooked meal and share stories from home, while they generally make fun of our accents. I love to answer questions about New zealand and where to go and places to stay.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I discovered couch surfing through a friend while on a road trip around the west coast of the US. We crashed at three different locations during our month on tour. Vagas, Santa fe and LA. Each host was awesome in their own way. They all had info on places to visit and things to do in the area. We would try to cook them dinner and enjoy a proper meal off the road, if they were not busy. We would not have had the greatest road trip without them.

Interests

Traveling of course! the beach, wine and all that goes with it including cheese, dark chocolate, new foods I hav'nt tried, music, reading which is great for long lay-overs or plane/train rides. And of course my family and freinds.

love a good book, movie or music and each has its own place and mood. too many to write down or remember at the top of my head. I like a good mix of everything.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

life is amazing when traveling in general, one of my highlights is learning to drive a scooter on the back streets of Thailand during flood conditions, loosing a jandle (flipflop) and having to go bear foot in mudy waters in search of a new pair.
I am also trying to tick off the seven natural wonders of the world, two down, a lot more traveling to go.
