About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To go to Merida, Mexico in search of an English teaching position. I feel like after I got back from Panama I, I no longer felt at home here. It took a trip to central America for me to feel the need of a little life in my bones

ABOUT ME

Let's see... Long hair, sporting a beard at the moment. Very real and honest. I love people, but I don't lend my trust to anyone. I love to draw and write music in my spare time. I'm also taking an interest in cooking lately. I love my nephew and my niece and my siblings. Traveling is really important to me, because I feel like seeing the outside world is one of the greatest learning tools we've been given.

PHILOSOPHY

The only thing necessary for success is listening.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As of now I'm a newbie at this, and only hoping to begin by finding someone with the kindness to put me up for a couple of nights till I find some accommodation. In the near future I hope to be able to do the same for someone else

Music, Movies, and Books

Carsten Stroud is my new favorite author. Never thought I'd be interested in a cop book, but I'd have to say.. next to Les Miserables, Sniper's Moon contains some of the best writing I've seen in a long time. And I found it in Panama which only solidifies it's importance to me

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Skinny dipped off the diving board at Aqua Lounge(a bar) in Bocas Del Toro. That's one for the records. I also left Alaska when I was 20 in a truck with all my belongings, not knowing where I was going.

Teach, Learn, Share

If I had to teach anything it would be to follow your heart. Life is what happens to us while were planning for something different.
I have a lot to learn, and I believe going and out and meeting people is the key to that. People are vessels of knowledge... Some contain priceless treasures, some are full of shit. Only way to find out is be a good listener.

Countries I’ve Visited

China, Panama

Countries I’ve Lived In

Singapore, United States
