About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To go places most people only see in books or movies.

ABOUT ME

I have always been a goal-setter. It is something the sport of swimming taught me. Now that my goals have shifted outside of swimming and school, they are focused on travelling. I remember sitting down one day when I was 17 to write out my new goals: My travel goals. In it I detailed how I want to see the world before I settle down into life.

I lived in England for 2 years. I taught there, and travelled throughout. Now I am back home and having just as much fun as when I was away. Still keeping the couch surfing going!

I am a fan of the great outdoors. Any chance I can I spend it outside. I enjoy doing all things under the sun- camping, hiking, biking, swimming, running, ultimate frisbee, socializing, and even relaxing. I like to live on the edge and take risks as well- I enjoy sky diving, surfing, and cliff jumping as well.

Meeting people through travel is something I have grown up with, and that I love. When I was younger I used to swim as a competitive speed swimmer, and on weekends our team would travel to various cities across Canada and the USA and we would be 'billeted' at host families for the weekend. I see 'couchsurfing.com' in a similar manner. It was always fun to enter someones home because it gave one hell of an experience- good or bad. Likewise, it was always interesting to host billets because of the experience and friendships made.

I look forward to these experiences- living life, meeting people, and travelling.

PHILOSOPHY

The way we spend our days is the way we spend our life.

Carpe Diem.

The Golden Rule- do unto others as you would have done unto you.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, covered up in scars, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming, "Yahooo - what a ride!"
