About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To make each day an adventure and never stop learning.

ABOUT ME

I recently moved back to Prince George from Vancouver after 3 amazing years there. The universe sent me in this direction for now and I am embracing being back. I am a bit of a bleeding heart. I routinely cry when I watch the news and even commericals, although I do not watch much television. I have a habit of taking home stray cats and sometimes people. I am scared of the dark and terrified of scary movies... they give me nightmares! I can fit almost my whole fist in my mouth. I am a vegetarian. I will try mostly anything once or twice. I am spontaneous. I am pretty rediculous most of the time. For example, I like to play dress up and go in public like everyday is Halloween. I have an overflowing tickle truck of costume pieces including a mexican wrestling mask with a goat face. I also have a mannequin "Chelsey" who has been around the world. I pretty much have fun all of the time. I collect strange fun things, many of which are scattered through my house. I like cleaning bathrooms. I tackle life head on and try to take as many of the experiences presented to me as possible. I am so grateful for what I have been able to do so for in this life. I have many like-minded friends and am always looking for more!

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that we are all connected to the universe and each other. Our souls are all on the same journey to connect with the energy force that we came from, however you view it: as a god or gods or godesses, the state of enlightenment, etc. This journey happens throughout a series of lifetimes and we learn more and get closer to that point with each life. Although everything is not fate, some people we are meant to connect with in our lifetime and play a part in our ultimate journey. Somethings happen by coincidence but many things are part of our souls set journey. When we experience deja vu it is a sign that we are on our right life path. Karma plays a part in this process.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I first heard about CouchSurfing when I was backpacking in Oz. I don't know why I didn't sign up then. I did a fair amount of hitching and sleeping on the floors of people that I did not know well. CouchSurfing would have helped me out! I have offered my couch many times but only surfed once. Maybe this years travels will lead me to someone's couch?

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite book in the whole wide world is Shantaram. I also love childrens books, and anything by Dr. Suess or Roald Dahl. I recently read "Eating Animals" and I feel everyone should have to read it. Very profound. I will read pretty much anything, but I like learning from what I read. I re-watch the same movies over and over a lot. My favorite is probably Pulp Fiction... oh or Horton Hears a Who... or Crash... it is hard to choose. I will not watch scary movies. I listen to pretty much all music from metal to all sorts of beats even classical, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I helped some folks making a documentary on tea, drive a German Unimog and a huge Ford pick up truck from Mumbai to Kolkata. Way off the beaten trail. Amazing.
