ABOUT ME
Hey couch surfers! My name is Kim. I was born and raised in Nashville, TN. Yes I DO like country music. :) I graduated from college with a degree in International Relations and another one in Spanish. I LOVE to travel and I've found that you meet the most amazing people while traveling half way across the world. I lived in Cordoba, Argentina from July 2008 until January 2009 and it was one of the absolute best experiences of my life! I then lived in Santander, Spain for a year as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant, then moved to NYC, Paris, grad school in Washington DC, and now living in NYC again.
PHILOSOPHY
It's not what the world holds for you. It's what you bring to it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Love to meet CSers surfing or just passing through. I've both surfed and hosted people and all were very wonderful experiences.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
First was in New York City on December 30th. It was a crazy experience with people from all over the world coming to New York for New Year's but we had a blast! Since then, have hosted several people in my flat in Spain and gone to some CS meetings in NYC, Spain and France.

Music, Movies, and Books
EVERYTHING! I LOVE LOVE LOVE music, movies AND books! I love pop music, COUNTRY, rock, jazz, and pretty much anything with a good beat and good lyrics. I love foreign films, hollywood films, etc. As for books, and movies I love anything based on a true story or anything historically set. Understanding history is the key to not making the same mistake twice.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I paraglided in Argentina in one of the top paragliding spots in the world and that was an incredible experience, seeing Iguazu falls, the second largest waterfall system in the world, I climbed an active volcano in Guatemala, and probably my number one would be seeing Machu Picchu in Peru. It is one of the most amazing and stunning places I have ever visited. I guess that's more than one thing but it's too hard to choose just one!
