ABOUT ME

G'day! I'm a pretty easy person to be around. I'm generally quite happy and relaxed. I like to keep busy and do that by riding my bike, tracking down my friends, cooking and eating good food, going to yoga class, going to the beach, heading to the hills, visiting my family, travelling, reading, studying and working.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I host surfers. And I surf.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been really lucky with all of my couch surfing experiences.
Before couch surfing existed I found my way to families in the outback, Queensland, New Zealand, Samoa and Tonga. I couch surfed in Mexico and America recently and had a brilliant time. I was blown away by the downright generosity of strangers.
Unofficial couch surfing experiences include meeting people in a shopping centre car park and staying with them for two nights. Win!

Every time I leave home my Mum reminds me that I shouldn't trust everyone I meet. So far my intuition has not led me astray and the experiences I have had sharing my home and sharing the homes of others has resulted in some wonderful experiences and rewarding friendships.

Dance floors. Bush walks. Cups of tea with loved ones.

I love food. I was vegan for a two years for reasons of animal rights, health and the environment but now I eat pretty much everything. I just couldn't continue calling myself a vegan after I realised how much butter I like to clump on hot cross buns. Also eggs from the backyard are yum and make me feel big and strong. Like Vegemite. Of which I prefer Aussiemite (controversial).

I probably won't say no to an art exhibition, a live music gig, horse riding or a good walk. I love being in the sun. I'll never say no the the ocean.

I am a daydreamer. Usually I am thinking about travelling around Australia, where my next overseas adventure will be, buying land and building a house and growing a garden, having my own family....and the bizillion other things i'd like to accomplish before my time is out. What order everything happens in is beyond me. And that is okay.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

When I think about the most amazing things I have seen they are all in nature: The Himalayas in India, the ocean in Mexico, the red desert sand in Australia, the night sky in Joshua Tree National Park, the lush jungle of Cuba. My eyes have feasted!

I was proud to cycle about Cuba. Stoked to sit on the back of a motorbike in India for a month. Privileged to represent Australia in Barcelona at a youth conference. Confused to spend my first day in Japan at a Jamaican Festival.

Other amazing things I have seen are memories of humans doing silly things. Like a friend trying to eat ten weet-bix in two minutes with no milk. Or a scooter in India with a family of five and a fridge on it.
