I love meeting new people and hearing about their experiences just as much as I like to find new experiences and adventures for myself. I'm passionate about the environment, and community development. One day I wouldn't mind building a tiny house in the woods.

PHILOSOPHY

To make the life I'm living worthwhile, and to help make this planet a healthy one for future generations so they can have a life worth living as well.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My first couch surfing experiences were in New Zealand. I loved it and after moving to Halifax and meeting some other locals in the CS community here I was able to start hosting. CouchSurfing has been a big part of my life since moving to Halifax and I have dearly missed it. I love showing people this beautiful city that I live in and its great community! *Recently moved to Vancouver, and haven't got set up for hosting yet!*

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I have had nothing but positive experiences, every surfer has been so different and every time I end up learning something totally unexpected! I have really enjoyed hosting in Halifax, and it was so wonderful being able to visit previous couchsurfers at their homes after they had stayed in mine.

Interests

Where do I begin? Photography, especially analog. Travel, but I suppose that might be obvious. I love music, and play the sax, ukulele, djembe and would like to pick up a banjo sometime! I love being outside!! Hiking, camping, climbing, canoeing, all that good stuff! What else... learning new languages, meeting new people, community development.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Helped catch a 5 metre Anaconda in the Peruvian Amazon, Watched one of the most amazing sunsets with my dad on a beach in New Zealand, and had the opportunity to travel with one of my best friends for 2.5 months.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love learning about little cultural quirks that sort of define a person or place.
I can teach you to slackline, take you climbing, or how to camp in the Canadian wilderness!
