CURRENT MISSION

Im traveling around the south of France before I head back to work on a boat. Im trying to keep my travelling as educational active and healthy as possible with a bit of dancing thrown in for good measure.

ABOUT ME

Kia Ora (Hello) I am currently working on a boat that travels around the world. i work long hours for about 3-4 months at a time then get about a month off to travel.It can be a lonely existence but is rewarding. i have joined couch surfing to meet people from the places i visit to get the inside story and to share stories. i have travelled quite bit over my life so far, every time i think Im about to settle down i get itchy feet. i love the outdoors and try to be as active as possible. I have worked as chef now for about 20yrs and still hold a passion for food. If there was someone to play me in a movie I would have Johnny Depp do it. Recently i have got in to yoga and I have a goal to learn how to surf before i reach forty it might take a bit longer than that but hey whos counting. i love to snowboard, fish, kayak, tramp, play sport of all kinds especially soccer and tennis. Im an agnostic, heterosexual with an open mind leaning to the left. My pet hates are dishonesty and violence,(im a son of a hippy even though my mother will deny that). When I get a chance i love to tear up the tiles on the dance floor. Musically im pretty open recently I have been listening to a lot of the Kings of Leon but I love the Gypsy Kings as well. Hip Hop Reggae Rock Folk Country Soul R&B Jazz Classical Flamenco Iget into it all especially live! Im currently reading The Lovely bones. I love my family who are dispersed all over the planet. I have a nephew i adore. Now im running out of things to say so I will write some more later. Ka Kite ano ( By for now) Donovan

PHILOSOPHY

Honesty Respect and Love rounded off with a great sense of humor. If you cant have a laugh you may be trapped. In saying that life can be remarkably unfunny at times that is where thats where the love and respect comes in. Peace

Couch surfer from way back just not with this group but I plan on having plenty of fun I have been to a couple of couch surfing events in Canada and Edinburgh with friends and have really enjoyed it.

Snowboarding in the French Alps for a season. An amazingly beautiful place and an awesome way to experience it.

Teach, Learn, Share

Anyone knowledge is king and everyone has something to share. I would like to learn more about Yoga, Surfing, Magic and massage at the moment and am always trying to forward my knowledge of food. Obviously with couch surfing learning the local history and culture will be great.
