About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To travel and to meet new people are two of the most liberating experiences in the world. The more places I visit and the more people I meet, the smaller the world seems. I want more of these experiences which make you feel like anything is possible.
ABOUT ME
I'm currently a student at the University of Leeds, in England. I'm studying Spanish, and this is my third year so I have to spend it abroad to improve my Spanish and learn more about the culture and lifestyle etc...I can't complain at all!
I'm constantly surprising myself by the way that life turns out!
I'm a very driven person and have a very clear idea about what I want out of life, but until I get there, I'm keen to have as much fun and experience as many new things as life can throw at me!
PHILOSOPHY
Be who the world is missing.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've heard about the site through friends who have successfully used it. I'm also keen to get involved and surf some couches...
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've now surfed couches in Toledo and Segovia through the site and had a really positive experience not just through having a convenient place to stay but also through meeting new people from different countries and learning all about their travels! I've also met a lot of other couchsurfers who have been surfing with friends and have had a great time with all of them!
Interests
Travelling and exploring new languages and cultures.
Music, most importantly, singing it.
Sports, running being my favourite.
Talking, usually over a large coffee.
Cooking, especially food from exotic countries.
Shopping, especially when the clothes are cheap.
Going out, and "painting the town red!"

Music, Movies, and Books
Music - Anything that provokes memories. Motown makes me smile, and Nina Simone makes me sing!
Movies - Dance movies make me VERY happy
Books - Jodie Picoult is always a good holiday read. George Orwell's Animal Farm also caught my attention.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Last July I ran the British London 10k for a charity in Peru, the Anita Goulden Trust. The charity is very close to my heart as I spent 5 weeks there in the summer of 2006, so I was incredibly pleased to have raised £800 through doing the run.
Although the run was physically exhausting, I was not only incredibly pleased to have completed it, but also very emotional. I was running alongside 30,000 other runners, all of whom were taking time out of their lives to run and raise money for a charity which was important to them. To see people running past me with the names of the loved ones stuck to their vests that they were running for literally brought tears to my eyes. Human generosity is an amazing sight.
