ABOUT ME

Hmmm, it´s always difficult to describe yourself I guess .... courios, open mind, and with a faible for books, animals and nature, long hiking tours and travels.

In December 2024 I startet a long-distance-hike, from Sicily to Germany, (following an old traveling report from 220 years ago). Most time I will be somewhere in the nature, but in between it would be great to meet people, hear stories and to get maybe still some recommandations for the region, cook together, share a beer and - of course - to sleep on a couch instead my tent :-). And on some interesting, famous, cultural towns/regions i would like to stop for a bit sightseeing - and it would be wonderful to get help from a CS-Host ! And in exchange I am alltime able to cook, a german dish if you want, and will have a lot of stories to tell :-)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently i am just surfing, because I have no appartment and no couch - I am travelling and working/ volunteering since 2008 (yes, no mistake... the 17. year now) around the world..... but I hope to give all this great experiences back to other travellers one day...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I started 2010 with CS in Southamerica and had wonderful experiences there, and now I want meet everywhere new people on this way - and give this good experience back to other persons as well, when I can host somebody (as yet I only surfed couches)

the book "Die wilde Geschichte vom Wassertrinker" (John Irving), Terry Pratchett,... and many, many more - I can't live without books !!!

...and I like Ska, Reggae, Worldmusic, african and arabic songs,...good music, never mind the genre.

I like go to cinema as well(because I never had a TV at home), but I have no favorit movie

...to stay in Lalibela/ Ethiopia and hiking tour through simien mountains
...7-months-hiking tour through whole europe
...to spent 3 years in eastern europe
with my bicycle
...to cross the border to Honduras in a small boat
...5-days-Hiking-Tour to the "ciudad perdita" in Columbia
...hitch - hiking out of the flooded jungle in Bolivia
... in centralasia i learned to milk a yak and a horse

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to learn new things everytime; hmmm... what can I teach or share: german cooking, knitting socks... and I could teach some German, if you want.
