About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Explore Europe in the short time I am here visiting, meet interesting people, and take that inspiration home with me!
ABOUT ME
I'm originally from Pennsylvania, where I went to college to learn to Weld and make installations. I moved to Portland, Oregon in 2007 and have been having a great time ever since. HIKING is one of my favorite things to do with BIKING as a close second. I love to be outdoors whenever possible and love being around other creative and life-loving people. This year I've learned to cook, plant seeds, weed, and harvest organic food and I love to do them all! I'm really inspired in Nature and go hiking to re-charge and breathe fresh air. Traveling has led me to such wonderful places and meeting new people. I really love to cook and sharing meals with people is one of my favorite activities as well. I'm also really into Drawing and making installations with mixed media for people to experience and play in a new environment. Definitely not to be overlooked is my passion for dancing, and if you've met me you know. I love to dance!
PHILOSOPHY
share. love and share. I really love people and sharing with friends is my favorite thing to do- whether it be food, music, dancing, visual stimulation, or whatever, feeling connected to other people and the world in general is the best feeling ever! I want to leave a positive mark wherever I go and feel good absorbing local culture.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've mostly surfed, but had the pleasure of showing around some couchsurfers in Asheville, which was great.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have met some amazing and talented, energetic and inspiring people. My hosts have been so wonderful so far-showing me what they love to do in their cities and chatting about travel experiences. I'm a traveler at heart, but I can't wait to get a couch and flip the role to host.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: The Prophet, Siddhartha, The Good Earth, The Autobiography of Malcolm X, The Pilgrimage, The Alchemist, Slaughter House 5, The Plague, Thus Spoke Zarathustra..., currently I'm reading the Biography of Martin Luther King, Jr.
Music: I love music! I'm a big fan of Mescalito, Blockhead, Diplo, Hip/Hop, Jazz, soul, doo whop- pretty much everything with soul.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was in a killer hail storm coming down from Mount Rushmore 2 years ago with my father. Golf Ball and Softball sized rocks of ice hurled at our car as we braced ourselves for the windshield to potentially break. It was the most intense weather either of us has experienced to date. I also lived with a bee keeper this summer and saw the inside of some bee hives-that was great.
I drove from El Paso, Texas to San Antonio and arrived to be with friends at midnight. The Texas desert was AMAZING and I was at peace while listening to Mescalito and viewing the beautiful scenery.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach how to weld, sew, draw, cook great eggs, dance, and I know way more art history than I'll ever use. I want to learn whatever you'll teach me- especially mandolin, violin, spanish, and more french!
