Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To meet new people and learn new things!
ABOUT ME
Hmmm...Well, I am a recent graduate of Peace and Conflict Studies in Canadan and was introduced to couchsrufing while studying Diversity Management in Slovenia. I am currently working for a non-profit community organization helping to establish a new project designed to get people thinking about where their food comes from and enable them to grow affordable and healthy foods on their own.
As a child I was fortunate enough to have a mother in immigration services, so our house was always alive with voices from around the world. Indeed, the world came to me. Now, it is time for me to return the favour! I am eager to learn about other cultures, develop a new perspective, and take in all that this world has to offer.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've only had limited participation so far, but from the experiences I have had, I can't wait to get into couchsurfing even more!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm very new to couchsurfing, but have had some experience travelling with some veteran couchsurfers. I hope to gain more experience in couchsurfing, and meet some interesting people along the way, before I return to Canada and open my home to others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
At the age of 17 I travelled with a friend to Southern Sudan. A life changing experience. Met amazing people and learned from them about all aspects of life. A real shock for a naive 17 year old.
Teach, Learn, Share
I think this is a quote from the Dalai Lama, but it is something I constantly remind myself when things aren't going my way. To paraphrase:
Why worry? If you can't change the thing you are worried about, then it makes no sense to worry about it. If you can change it, then there is no need to be worried.
Also, to quote Groucho Marx:
"I don't care to belong to a club that accepts people like me as members." (but i still love couchsurfing anyway!)
