In couchsurfing we’d like to meet and get to know people from other countries. We are interested in what they think and what they have to say. Hence we prefer to host people from foreign countries. However if you are from the north coast or from the far east of Germany it might be foreign enough. We don‘t offer free holidays for regional tourists, but we are open to everybody who is willing to give us a hand with farm work.

Yes, we can currently still host groups of up to six people.

ABOUT ME

Our son Owen was born in 2003, my wife Rachel who is from England was born in 1971 and I date back to the year 1967. We are a bilingual family.

Rachel is teaching English at 2 local universities. She loves swimming, walking in nature, music, growing vegetables, doing creative activities e.g painting and making friends with lots of people.

Owen works in mechanical engineering, engine maintenance, abroad. His hobbies are skiing, fishing, welding, cars, machinery ....

I've got a teaching job at a local secondary school.

I make music: singing, guitar, harmonica, clarinet, cajon.... I play in a band, sing in a choir.

We have chickens and cats.

We are looking after about 3ha of land with 100 fruit trees (apples and pears, all organic) and forest. We can always do with a helping hand. Work with us for one or two days a week and you are welcome to stay for a few weeks if things go well.
