CURRENT MISSION

To have positive relationships with all aspects of life. I'm currently back in Vancouver focused on creating a world of unlimited access to adventure with my startup, ShareShed.ca. My current mission is to make is easy to have outside.

The same line from 2009 when I started on CSing: I want to live a life of engaging with others and helping people around the world.

ABOUT ME

I love to travel and experience other cultures first hand. My goal is to participate in the communities I visit as an engaged community member instead as a foreign observer. I am passionate about the sharing economy, alternative forms of daily life including education, finance, economics, and consumerism. I love the outdoors and being active. I play university basketball and love to most activities from snowboard to hiking the local mountains.

PHILOSOPHY

-To get something you've never had you need to do something you've never done.

-Your life is a reflection of your personal beliefs and attitudes.

-Put your heart into everything you do. You can only be at one place at one time, so why not make that absolute most of every moment. "Don't get through, get from."

-Education is not about filling a bucket but igniting a spark.

-Hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard.

-Take fun seriously.

-Less is more.

-Sharing is caring.

-Be the change.

-You miss 100% of the shots you don't take.

-Watch your thoughts because they become words, watch your words because they become actions, watch your actions because they become habit, watch your habits because they because they become character, and watch your character because that becomes your destiny.

I feel so fortunate to have had such great experiences with Couchsurfing. The true beauty of Couchsurfing is the opportunity for cultural exchange and I feel like I've been so lucky to have met some of the most amazing people through this community.

Learn

Everyone is knowledgable and there's always something to learn from each other. One of the best ways to learn is to broaden our awareness of how the world works and I can't imagine a better way to do so then to connect authentically with people from different backgrounds.
