ABOUT ME

my name is Emmett and i am a pretty respectable guy.i am on a mission to meet as many people as i can handle. so far my most successful lines have been "what's up" and "what's your name". "what's your sign" seems both confusing and creepy but the movies tell me that IT WILL WORK AS WELL.i am precisely good looking enough so as not to be intimidatingly so. this is very difficult. it takes serious neglect of general hygiene and a constant effort to dress with no fashion sense whatsoever.i wear glasses. i like cereal. i dig the internet. i'm creative, but i'm also lazy. i like to sleep. i like to laugh. i like when you laugh.i'm open-minded and curious. i try my very best to try anything at least once. this occasionally flies in the face of social norms and rules and i become highly conflicted. maybe you can talk me through it.i like music. i like movies. i love puns. swapping puns with my dad is an experience of the most treasured and enjoyable kind.i went to McGill University and studied Cognitive Sciences for a while for a lot of wrong reasons (my bridge-jumping friends were doing it, my family all did it, i was fairly good at it, i got to live in Montreal...) but i realized that for the same amount of time and money i could be doing way awesomer things.so i travelled the world for a year, couchsurfing and laughing all the while. somewhere along the way i met the love of my life. pretty sweet.. now i'm back in school making movies. what? yeah, i've always wanted to do that, and i don't think i'd be happy doing anything else. don't tell Cognitive Sciences though, k? it will probably hurt her feelings.

couchsurfing is amazing. i heard about it from THIS english bloke i met in canada and i didn't really believe him.

too good to be true right? well miracles do happen, and i am no miracle denialist.

now i have surfed many a couch, met the coolest couch folk at cs events and it's about time some wonderful strangers came to hang out in my apartment.

A BUNCH of CS meetings and parties, SEVERAL couches surfed, ONE massively multi player 5 day camping experience in Traben-Trarbach, and ONE extravagent Paris Rendezvous, oh baby!

Movies (heaven, scary movie 3, no country for old men, kramer vs kramer, the iron giant). TV shows (30 Rock, Arrested Development, Scrubs, QI, Love It Or List It).Hockey (raised as a habs fan, but i'll cheer for most canadian teams; except maybe the leafs). People (that's you! assuming of course that you are not a murderer. i have no tolerance for murderers unless purely of the dope MC variety).
