About Me

CURRENT MISSION

......(wish I knew).......

ABOUT ME

This part reminds me too much of the same question popped up in a job interview requesting the interviewee for self-description in two minutes. I kind of think it impossible to give a full picture of a rounded human being in any length of words.
I am what you see and do not see.

To quote Theodore Dalrymple:

"In my opinion, this is a question that should not have been asked, indeed that is almost obscene, being an invitation either to self-congratulation or to arch self-deprecation, the higher and slightly more acceptable form of self-congratulation. To adapt slightly the final sentence of Wittgenstein’s Tractatus, whereof one ought not to speak, thereof one ought to be silent."

PHILOSOPHY

"Philosophy", what a big word!
Stability and certainty bore me stupid. I love changes and challenges.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been brazen enough to ask strangers when I am travelling if I can stay in their houses when I first met them before CS even came to existence and was invited by locals on the road quite often.

I have tried to surf since I joined CS whenever I travel. It's a great way to meet people, which to me is what travelling is about, learning a new place and different culture through conversation with locals, especially for a person like me who is not that multi-lingual.

Haven't hosted yet 'cause when I am not on the road, I'm actually quite a private person who cannot get enough of my own private space. Strange, isn't it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am yet to meet more people but my surfing experiences in Brazil, Russia, Vienna, Warsaw, Prague, Krakow, Ceske Budejovice, Penang, Nanning have been wonderful so far.

Interests

aimless globe trotting; purposeful wandering in galleries, museums and theatres;reading; like the sophistication of big cities, tranquility and beauty of nature; writing(actually whining would be a more appropriate word); try anything new......anything that gives my brain a good exercise

Music, Movies, and Books

My taste changes all the time. I spend more time with books than music or movies. But I do love Bach's Cello Suite played by Yoyo Ma.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My life must be terribly dull if I can nail one answer to this question.

Teach, Learn, Share

Everyone I met allows me to know about myself more. I am a very good talker and listener.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories and information of Hong Kong and places I've visited. As a jack in all trades and master of none, I can probably chat and have general discussions with hosts in most topics that interest them.
