About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to travel and experience a life less ordinary
ABOUT ME
I'm a pretty regular guy but I'm pretty passionate about philosophy, art, and all things trivial. I consider myself quite friendly and am excited about every interaction with someone new who can teach me a little something, or just listen to my rambles for a bit!
PHILOSOPHY
Never stop evolving. Never stop surprising yourself by daring yourself to do something, be something you never thought possible.
Besides that, just relax. Everything seems to work out fine in the end.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Recently I returned to my home in Las Vegas after 8 months of traveling. I'm so grateful that something like CS exists, I'm very happy to give back however I can.
And when I do get my own place, it will most definitely be open to surfers....
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
After 8 months of traveling I can say that CS was at times a place to see a friendly face and at times my savior. It's a beautiful system and instills me with faith in people and the desire to pay it forward
Interests
LIFE! All things art (especially music), photography, wine, beer (all things alcohol for that matter...), food, meeting friendly people, breathtaking views, breathtaking moments, seeing the beauty and interest in all walks of life on this planet i've seen so little of.
And it makes me nervous just to say it - to push myself out of my comfort zone and try new things when they are propositioned to me, even when i'm terrified of them.

Music, Movies, and Books
Should be saved for a 4 hour conversation but if you must...
I love film and love to be exposed to what I don't already know. What you need to know is that anything by the Coen Brothers, PT Anderson, Wes Anderson, Stanley Kubrick, some Woody Allen, Martin Scorsese, Cameron Crowe, David Lynch, Stephen Soderberg, Tarantino, Guy Ritchie (the movie with his wife doesn't count... and I could go on but you get the point!
Music is even more broad but I'm definitely a lover of all things classic rock and it's history. The Beatles shaped my love of music and my desire to seek out new artists doing original things in rock.
I love all things indie rock as well as the stadium rock bands from years of the Coachella festival in Indio, CA, USA. I have a lot of music and i love to share it! Please show me just one new band to love and I'm in your debt!
Books - I'm a huge fan of reading and do so much less the past few years than when I was younger. I blame working so much! But I have been following Chuck Palahniuk for years now (Fight Club, Invisible Monsters, Choke, Survivor...)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Awestruck??.... It's not the sightseeing, it's not what you think are the "big" moments. It's seeing beauty in a far away place you never would have known existed. It's the people along the way that made you laugh, shocked you, treated you like family when you were scared and lonely. It's the minor events that become the travel stories you will tell for the rest of your life. Awestruck is how I feel about having discovered Couchsurfing.
Teach, Learn, Share
As a photographer I'm enthusiastic for anyone that takes an interest in learning the camera, lighting, posing and working photographing people.
I got my beginnings of my career in Photoshop and I'm happy to teach.
My graphic design skills are pretty okay too. I'm a pro at Adobe InDesign and can help with all things in the print world.
