About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To continually give myself permission to be genuine in EVERY situation, to face any lurking fears within, and to encounter people who aren't afraid to do the same!
ABOUT ME
I like to describe myself like you would a cocktail:
1 part - Intellectual & Witty
2 parts - Adventurous & Free Spirited
A big splash of Soulful & Reflective
All that to say, I'm a bit of everything at all or different times. I make no excuses for the fact that I'm not the most organized person in the world, but I'm definitely a fun person to be with and incredibly positive.
I'm on a quest, one that is challenging and demands daily nourishment. I'm exploring who I am! And although it's not always easy to put what's in my best interests on top (expecially when I tend to be a tad impulsive!), I'm learning that I can enjoy life, the world around me, and the people that make it up, by just listening to my heart and jumping right in...
PHILOSOPHY
I'm a product of two very different cultures coming together in love (my mum's irish and my dad's ghanain), and I credit this union for my instinctive joy in seeing the world unite, regardless of ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or political views.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm a new couchsurfer and I'm slowly discovering the wonders within this community. I hope to meet people through local groups and through travel, and to help spread the word of this incredible culture.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've had a couple of life-changing couchsurfing experiences. There's something magical about being open and available to people, honest and interested in sharing and receiving a piece of each others home and lives...Each new person is a brand new world to discover.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
1) Travelled from coast to coast across my homeland (Canada) and discovered that it has thousands of little countries within it, inhabited by brave people who appreciate the natural beauty of their land, and who have a millions of stories to tell...
2) Helped build an orphanage in the slums of Brazil
3) Lived in Central America long enough to feel at home
4) Refused to make assumptions about the USA, and DROVE to EACH state (still haven't hit Washington state though...)
5) Fell in love with the non-inclusive Cuba!
6) Helped build a church in Jamaica
7) Stayed in the south of France with locals who taught me how to enjoy the simple things in life...
8) Meditated under the stars in the Mountains of northern Quebec.
9) Ate on the Eiffel Tower with my best friend
10) Didn't take one picture when I visited the Grand Canyon. Don't know why, but will never regret it.
11) Biked the Golden Gate bridge
Teach, Learn, Share
Most important lesson of my life:
I really don't know anything for sure, and that's absolutely, positively marvelous. Why? Because I have this entire lifetime to discover, explore, and learn.
AND - the more languages you speak, the easier it is to communicate globally!!!
My favourite joke:
Q: Why did the scientist disconnect his doorbell?
A: Because he wanted to win the Nobel (no bell) prize!
