ABOUT ME

Uff. I don´t like to speak about myself in fact :) Give me some time.

Interests

I did lots of sports during my life. E.g. tennis, modern scenic dencing (13 years), karate (8 years). Now I am doing poweryoga something around three years, but I also like long walks in the nature (we sometimes go with friends outside the city and we walk one week and sleep in the woods under the stars). During summer I enjoy canoeing (with my friends) the most. During nights in the pubs I like to play table football (and I am really good in offense). I like to dance (the most I enjoy reggae music and dub), but I can dance on everything when I am little bit drunk :)
I love to travel (but I guess all people here do!), I love to know other cultures and habits, and this is one of the reasons why I study anthropology.
I love animals, all kinds (ok, not insect so much). I don´t eat them (just sometimes fish). I had a cat, snake, dog, hamsters, rat...
I like to observe people and nature. Sometimes that´s enough (I can enjoy to be alone with my thoughts), sometimes I need people around me so badly. I am a social person who doesn´t have a problem to be alone.
I am painting with oil colors, usually abstract pieces, but just for myself - it´s my way of self-expression and also I like to give my pictures to people who are important for me.
And I love taking pictures (when I can borrow my father´s super camera with telephoto lens, that´s time of my life:)). I would like to buy one day some really good digital reflex camera just for myself...
I don´t play any instrument and I don´t sing. But I would like to so much, I am just really not good at it... (If you would hear me singing, you would cry from pain in your ears:))

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
So important for me! My heart thing is reggae music (on reggae festivals I am soooo happy), but I am not strictly reggae person, I love also dub, rock, electro, world music, ... I don´t have any favorite group, but I like for example: Transglobal Underground, Assian Dub Foundation, Beirut, DJ Krush, Emiliana Torrini, Air, Bob Marley, Portishead, Wyclef Jean, Morcheeba, Philip Glass, Horace Andy, DJ Shadow, Buena Vista Social Club, Gorillaz, U2, Nick Cave, PJ Harvey, The Doors, Coldplay, Angus and Julia Stone, Koop, Jose Gonzales, Massive Attack, Kings of Convenience, Radiohead,Hooverphonic, Zero 7, Groove Armada, The Chemical Brothers, Nouvelle Vague and many many others...

Books:
I love to read. During my grammar school I red really lots of books, I don´t even remember all... Dostojevskij (Crime and punishment), Bulgakov, Franz Kafka, Meyrink, Orwel, Remarque, Hesse, Maupassant, Levin, Styron, Saroyan, Dalai Lama, Sartre, Lorenz .......... Currently I am reading books usually close to branch of my studies - anthropological books, but I also had to read lots of historical books (I like books about ancient Greeks especially, e.g. Flaceliére, de Coulanges), philosophical books (Plato, Descartes, Jaspers, Sokol, Patočka, ...). Even though it was for my studies, I usually enjoyed these kinds of books a lot... But sometimes it´s nice to read something "easy", I don´t have to read about philosophy all the time (I would go nuts!). So I red for example The Hobbit or Coelho´s books (but even there you can find some kind of philosophy - who is attentive, finds it everywhere :)) Now I am reading a book about evolutionary biology (it´s for school, but it´s really interesting, but exam from it will be harsh...)...
