ABOUT ME

I am a sailor as far as my job is concerned. I work on a 57' schooner called the Olad out of Camden Harbor, ME, taking people for two hour tours. I am always active and love to be outside. I cycle, run, walk, hike, sail, and anything else I can try.

I have practiced martial arts since I was 12 years old and do at least 4 hours a week when I'm at home, I love it and its a big part of my life.

I can and do sit down and relax for a bit as long as my hands are busy creating something. I love to read and write, knit, crochet, draw, and paint, usually gifts for people. I read mainly science fiction and fantasy books, Favorite authors are Orsin Scott Card and Ursila K. LeGuin. As far as movies and music I'll give anything a try if you recomend it.

PHILOSOPHY

To always be open minded about things and present a compationet, carring soul to the world and all its problems. Stand behind your morals beyond all else and know who you are. Remane strong but flexable, and realise that the anger or cruelty others can show you is just the battles they are fighting within themselfes.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well I just started couch surfing two days ago so I'm still learning about it all but when I get home I'd love to show people around Rockport or Camden, we have some great coffee shops, and maby I'll be able to talk my mom into letting us host some travelers in our spare room but not yet. Anyway Camden is rely a lovely area and if it works out I might also be able to take someone for a sail on the schooner I work on out of Camden harbor.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have just stayed with Terry so far but he already has 7 people ready to host me all the way down to the keys so that status will be changing shortly. It has been so fun.

Interests

Karate and martial arts, travel and seeing the world, experiencing new people and cultures, reading, writing, knitting, crocheting, drawing, painting, cycling, running, walking, hiking, swimming, sailing, working out, and being outside!

Music, Movies, and Books

I like movies with a good story line. Not ones with alot of gore or violance. Some of my favorites are Dirty Dancing, Pitch Black, A Knits Tail, Princes Mononoke, Boon Dock Saints 1+2, the lord of the rings movies...and many more.
For Music, I enjoy lots of diferant kinds as long as it has a good beet to it. It realy depends on the mood I'm in but I like Stained, Disturbed, Bullet for my Valentine, Three Days Grace... But I also like Sarah Brightman, Twelve Girls Band, John Denver, Celtic, orcistra, techno... I'm not picky, just like good music
For books I enjoy Sciance fiction and fantasy but will try others if recomended them. My favorits are Orsen Scott Cards book's, the Eragon series, Harry potter, Ursila K. LeGuins book's, Terry Goodkinds sword of thruth novels...lots more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, I'm finishing up a bike tour from My house in Maine to Key West florida all by myself. It's taken 2+1/2 months to finish but I didn't quite. Through hell and high water, and I learned so much about myself and the way the wolr realy is from it.
I have studied martial arts for 8 years so far and when I become a Marine that will be a great accomplishment aswell.

I can sail pritty well, I'm a great martial artist, I do many diferant kinds of crafts and I love to learn about everything!
