About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My mission is to make the world smaller one smile or laugh at a time!

ABOUT ME

Some people live to work, and some work to live. I definitely fall into the latter category! Life is too short to take things too seriously. Luckily for me, I have lots of friends who me young at heart. I also have two great kids who are both out of the house now, giving me time to do all sorts of things, including travel.

I have been fortunate too see a lot of interesting places through work and fun. I don't have the travel bug as bad as my wife, but I enjoy going to new places when I get the chance.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is all about the experiences you have, the memories you make, and the relationships you share. Having fun while you do so is a bonus.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I got involved in Couch Surfing to keep track of friends I had made at local CS meetups. I have not surfed myself, but have had the pleasure of hosting a number of folks at my house. I have also immensely enjoyed meeting local Atlanta members at various gatherings. What a great bunch of diverse people!

Interests

In addition to the occasional travels, I really enjoy mountain biking and a spin on the road bike every now and then. I'm always up to take a guest to ride and can borrow a bike if anyone needs one. Also really like sailing, but Atlanta is a little short in the wind department. Enjoy hiking and tennis as well when time permits.

Music, Movies, and Books

Too many to mention. My tastes are everywhere.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have seen some amazing things and had some amazing experiences, from listening to the call for morning prayers in rural Turkey, to whooshing through remote woods and deserts on my bikes. But the thing that was most amazing is the miracle of childbirth. It is simply incredible to watch a child be brought into the world, quickly followed by the sobering reality of being a parent!
