About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To experience the flow and magic of life.
ABOUT ME
I'm preparing to head out on a multi-month trip in the islands in the Caribbean (USVI, BVI & St. Kitts).
My most memorable experience traveling thus far was a 3 1/2 month solo trip backpacking through 12 countries in Europe! It was an amazing, heart opening experience that I smile about whenever I recall it My favorite memories are of meeting and staying with locals and building meaningful friendships. That's why I'm so glad this network of couchsurfers exists! It's the best way to travel and build a better, more peaceful world through exposure to new perspectives and cultures.
I studied Journalism during college and spend a lot of my time writing. You can view my personal blog here: www.thewisdomshop.wordpress.com. I love the outdoors, good conversation, all kinds of dancing, food, concerts, going on adventures and learning about new cultures. I'm doing my best to live life fully!
PHILOSOPHY
Every experience is an opportunity for growth and learning; this moment is exactly as it should be. Trust the process of life. Grace and kindness command the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have couch surfed in nearly a dozen countries across Europe, in Puerto Rico and Seattle, hosted a surfer from Germany and ended up becoming housemates with a surfer from Tennessee. I am always excited to meet cool folks who are following their unique paths, traveling through the world with a purpose. And I also want to go on my own adventures and have places to stay and great people to connect with. I love meeting new people, sharing stories, meals and experiences.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
A memorable couchsurfing experience: I stayed with several lovely artisan folks in La Parguera, Puerto Rico. Together we faced a tropical storm and made art all day when the streets were flooded and the power was out. My hosts taught me to cook traditional Puerto Rican food, showed me their favorite beaches and shared their own travel stories. It was a wonderful experience that I will never forget.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Too many wonderful things to choose just one....Learned to dance Merengue and trust the universal flow in Puerto Rico, visited the birthplace of my ancestors in Poland, Volunteered on the U.S./Mexico Border, lived in an intentional community with eight others, founded a magazine (www.queenbeecollective.com), read my poems aloud to an audience, rafted the Wild & Scenic section of the Rogue River, rode the train across the U.S. (3 days!) to visit my grandmother. Can't wait to see/experience/do more amazing things in this lifetime!
Teach, Learn, Share
I have worked as a writing tutor for five years, as well as a professional writer and can offer resume writing assistance, cover letter, essay, article writing and editing services. I can be a good conversation partner if you are wanting to learn English. I can teach you some tricks with a hula hoop and cook you a good healthy meal! I also promise to be a good partner on the dance floor if dancing is your thing :) I am interested in learning more about natural medicine, artist trades (jewelry making, pottery, weaving etc.), and love learning about local culture, plants and history of a place!
