About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Meet as many people and places as i can while maintaining a bit of my sanity

ABOUT ME

Well. Lived in Greece, in alittle town called Ioannina. Left at 18 to study and work in the UK and specifically Manchester. Did my travelling bit and ended spending a year in Japan where i studied the language and work for that hard earned cash. Came back to the motherland to do my military service which i successfully finished without going insane and now i am living in Athens (something i always wanted to do as Athens is one of my favorite cities) working at the Embassy looking toward which will my next goal be. Or not.

PHILOSOPHY

As i said above one my favorite quotes is 'never askyourself why? but ask why not?' and i also love 'you may say i am a dreamer, but i am not the only one'. Dont know how well that fits here but there you go

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I heared of the Couchsurfers through a guy i met while visiting Matsumoto in Japan and he filled me in on the whole thing. Have met other fantastic people through my everyday life and i got to love the whole idea. So decided as soon as i have my own place i will participate as well. Hence here i am.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Haven't needed to do any thus far. But the couchsurfing people i have met, i have loved and plus i love meeting and having people near, so i felt it would be good to do. Plus it helps alot of people to visit a city and get a better experience of it. Whether it is money wise or just where to go and what to see.

Interests

I LOVE movies. Have ever since i was 13 and building up my collection of films. Listen to alot of music but have to admit leaning towards Rock and music that gives you that groovy feeling. I also play the drums myself (though havent touched them in a while). I enjoy political and philosophical discussions even if they don't go anywhere. Got bit by the rock climbing bug as well and i practice it about twice a week. Other than that i am a chilled out guy (i have been described recently as the emperor of calmness), always up for something fun (never ask yourself why? but ask why not?)and thats about it i guess! Average shmo really.

Music, Movies, and Books

Here we go! Even though this question can take anything from a couple of minutes to a lifetime to answer, i will try to be brief.

I love: Kubrick, Lynch, Kevin Smith, Loach, Kurosawa, Woody Allen, Visconti, Sam Raimi/ Bruce Cambell

Bjork, The Bloodhound Gang, Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Mike Patton, Beck, Tool,

I mostly read anything that falls on my hand but concentrate in social and political interpretations or historical. Favorite author is George Orwell. 1984 and Animal Farm are all time favorites.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Beeing alive?... Considering everything that can go wrong, it is pretty amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

Not really a good teacher but i can try. I know a bit of Greek history and the difference in the political and social views of this land but everyday you learn something new so.... I'm also an invaliable asset in pointless knowlege. Did you know that not even penguins can tell themselves apart? They recognize each other by voice pitch.

Countries I’ve Visited

France, Germany, Italy, Serbia, South Africa, South Korea, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Greece, Japan, United Kingdom
