To get my head around low impact construction and renewables, and meet beautiful souls whilst volunteering and peddling around mid and south wales with an angel who luckily likes hanging around with me.

ABOUT ME

I'm a Dom, and not a bad one I like to think. I try to uphold the good name of Dom, that is.. to be a magical beast.

Life is a great adventure. The adventure of the mind and of the body, internal and external, and aligning them. The journey of the mind, the core of being and
happiness. The external seen through the minds lens
The blissful joy of breath, light and sensation is there to enjoy everyday, for now, and I'm well aware that everything is transient, and life is fleeting.

PHILOSOPHY

Life and the universe are infinitaley simple and complex at the same time. I've been grappling with the meaning of it all since I was 8ish, and I think the only meaning is the meaning that we as individuals, inspired by socialisation and collective idea sharing, apply to it.

An idea that I read recently and enjoyed is that the universe has evolved to a point at which, through humans, it is conscious of itself.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm currently a couchless wanderer. I'm hoping to visit lots of beautiful souls around Wales and mainland Europe over the next few years. One day I hope to have a beautiful home in the woods and to welcome travellers to rest, relax and share their tales.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've CouchSurfed with 6 or 7 households around Wales, and really enjoyed each experience, it seems sad to say goodbye but hopefully I'll see them all again along the way. I've been struck again and again but the love and generosity with which people open their doors, and it inspires me to trust and accept the less than ideal reality of statistical risk(which is easy for me to say as I've only had good experiences so far). A hearty welcome lightens the soul and fuels the engine.

Intereses

People, stories, renewable energy, ecology, interaction between people and environment, music/ jamming, singing, forum theatre, art, water, trees, mountains, cycling, films, far away countries, nearby countries, food!, tea, dancing.

I'm not really into fashion though.

Algo increíble que he hecho

Lived in small village in Rajasthani desert (India) with a family there. I worked with children from 3-5 years old, and helped my Indian colleagues (from Orissa, Rajasthan and Utteranchel) to carry out a survey to find out how residents felt about healthcare, and political systems in place.

Enseña, aprende, comparte

My speciality over the last few years has been working with groups of young volunteers, doing workshops, training, mentoring, accounts, community networking. I'm really focused on renewables, and eco friendly building and growing at the mo. I love to share what I know and learn from others.
