I am in love with life. I appreciate the beauty of the world, I respect other people, I care for them.
I believe I might have a split personality, but both Marias are genuinely good:) so not to worry!
I am a happy person, I appreciate what I've got, but still wanting more.

I live with my boyfriend Jan and hamster Klaus. they are both adorable, loving and supportive. Although Jan is more outgoing than hammy:p

and I am a sun addict, very pale though.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have just joined CS community not long ago, so I am not much experienced..yet. Looking forward to new adventures though! Hope you guys are going to help me with this one and I will certainly return the favor:D
I want to host travellers, offer my help, meet new people, go and visit places.. I want to experience all aspects of couch surfing. Currently I live in Buxton, Derbyshire and I will remain here until December 2010, and then who knows where will I go?? I know I will definitely have a couch;)

Interests

I am like a sponge - soaking all the knowledge available: I listen, observe, make, experiment. 1000000 thoughts and ideas per minute. I like beautiful things.

I am lucky to be interested in what I study: Public Relations and Events Management.
I am also interested in childcare, child development as these are closely related to what I do(I work with vulnerable and disabled children).
Other than that:

Travelling - I am willing to go anywhere, it's the experience that counts. I've been to few places in Europe and North Africa, but I want to visit every continent (not once). I really really want to go to Japan, it's been my dream since I was 6, I think..
Music - almost every kind. Rock, trip hop, classical music including operas, to name just a few.
Photography, it's something I do for myself.
Fashion, DeSiGn, clothes, accessories, crocheting, knitting, sewing..I am in a process of discovering some new crafts. in future I want to build a house, so still lots of techniques to learn:)
Cooking - connecting people;) baking as well!
Martial Arts - Jan is an expert in this field, I did some Muay Thai myself.. along with ballet and yoga:p
Helping people and animals. It is really something I want to do in my life. helping directly, administration, fundraising. I want to set up my own charity once I settle down somewhere.

My latest hobby is quite messy. Namely I like to walk around town and look for some old furnitures or objects, thrown away. Real treasure hunting, and it is for free:)
...oh and of course my dissertation:p "Role of social media in government communications" that's my main interest until august

Music, Movies, and Books

This box is too small to list everything!:) but i'll try once I manage to put it all in order.
I am quite sensitive when it comes to music, if I hear it I focus on it. I want to marry Charlotte Gainsbourg.
I am obsessed with movies and I cannot live without reading. I particularly like old, pre owned ones, but I'll read anything.
