What does it mean?
ABOUT ME
I've been an English teacher in Korea for the past 3 years. It's been a wonderful experience and I consider Korea my second home.
At this point in my life I'm trying to do as much traveling as possible. The best parts for me are the people I meet and the stories I bring home.
I hope eventually to get into film. I've always loved it but have yet to really take a first step in that direction. Hopefully I can take that step in the upcoming year.
PHILOSOPHY
Take comfort in the good times and learn from the bad.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I hope to do some surfing in an upcoming trip to Malaysia.
Mi casa es su casa.
Heard about couch surfing from a surfer in Korea. I was really surprised but at the same time it made so much sense.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
This is a little story about four people:
Everybody, Somebody, Anybody and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done, and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it. Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job. Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.
(This has nothing to do with experience but I liked the story and figured I might as well fill the gap due to lack of experience.)
Interests
Interested in meeting members who are active in writing, acting, directing, editing or anything else for that matter in the film world.
Movies. I like all sorts but the first one I make will surely consist of zombies.
Music- I've had a guitar for almost 10 years but it sounds like I've played it for almost one. I like listening though.
Traveling...do I need to put that here?

Music, Movies, and Books
Have been watching mostly Korean movies lately. The following are the most recent three I've seen. Unintentionally they all star Ha-Kyun Shin.
Save the Green Planet -Loved it. One of my new favorites. A thrilling ride with shocks around each bend.
Welcome to Dongmakgol -Really beautiful and touching movie. The scene with the boar was great.
Thirst -Something disturbing and real about Park Chan-Wook's films that I love. He walks a thin line that makes you love feeling uncomfortable.
Cheesy horror films, zombies, Bruce Campbell and Arnold
Love the old rock and folk, such as, Dylan and Springsteen but am also interested in newer indie stuff like Destroyer.
If you recommend it, I'll probably read it.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Lucha Libre! If you haven't seen a masked hero jump from the ring to squash his enemies then you haven't lived.
Teach, Learn, Share
On my last trip, a couple of friends and I read a cheesy action novel out-loud. It was awesome! Try it out. Start with anything by Mathew Reilly and make up some really ridiculous voices for characters.
If you can't think of any voices try out some of these classics: Christopher Walken, Michael Jackson, Arnold, or even Warwick Davis..."I would have chosen my own finger."
You'll have a blast; I promise.
What kind of things do you do while traveling to promote group bonding?
Would like to improve my Korean ability. So feel free to speak Korean around me...although don't be alarmed at the blank expression you receive.
