About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Everyone can be a teacher; everyone can be a student.

ABOUT ME

Me...ambitious in life, passionated by people. Love to discover, to challenge myself and other people. Furthermore, a good friend, caretaking if needed, direct and creative.

Starting my first serious job in november 2011 as a change consultant.

PHILOSOPHY

I'd love to protest against expectations and discover whats important to me in life. That means something similar to my motto: everyone can be a teacher and everyone can be a student. I think that its important to broaden my worldview and not to judge people because of different perceptions. For me life is a learning experience, one that I'd like to share with others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

After using CS for quite a while its time to return a lot of favours. So thats what I'd like to do.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

By chance I heard of CS. I already slept on a lot of couches before I officially created a profile. I managed to use CS for two months in a row when I hitched around Australia. Only recently I've had one negative experience, but in general it has brought me beautifull new contacts all around the world.

Interests

People, cultures, a good glass of wine, friends, drawing, reading, talking, family, nature...

Music, Movies, and Books

Just finished a fantastic book about the war in Kosovo, Fools rush in, by Bill Carter.

Music can be anything. Collected different music from all over the world. Some recent favourites are John Butler Trio, Shalom Chanoch and some beautiful song by A Fine Frenzy.

Movies: Once in a while, mostly drama's or romantic movies where I need to use a tissue :-)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Working with illiterate women to support them in empowering. Finding out that my job existed of checking compostbins and kitchen gardens. So I found myself digging in compost searching for worms. Found out that doing this and composing a list of the binconditions surprisingly encouraged the women to improve their compost. Wonderfull and amazing experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach, learn, share... those words are mine :-) I wrote a story about my intercultural learning experience in India. Everyone who's interested is more than welcome to read it.
