My mission is to always have an open mind and learn as much as I can from the new friends I meet!

ABOUT ME

I love music and art of all kinds. I really enjoy playing jazz because it takes a lot of work but it is still very raw and spontaneous. I'm very interested in meeting new people and learning what I can from them because I feel we all have something very important to offer.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to be nice to everyone I meet because life is too short to be mean. I love hearing other people's stories because they inspire me to do greater things with my own life.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like watching documentaries mainly. I like all styles of music some of my favorite bands/artists are Tony Williams, Wayne Shorter, Miles Davis, Wilco, The Mars Volta, Free Moral Agents, My Morning Jacket, Radiohead, The Police, Tortoise, Herbie Hancock, Stevie Wonder to name a few. I like the book Animal Farm, Miles (Miles Davis's autobiography), Pilgrim at Tinker Creek, Fahrenheit 451.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to teach you how to play drums and maybe we could get an Afro-Cuban jam session going. I could teach a bit of piano and music theory as well. I like to show people new music because I love to see the look on someone’s face when they hear a new band that they get excited about.
I want to learn what you know about music, culture, and art. But really I am open to learn what ever you have to offer.
