Estudié Biología en España y cuando terminé, conseguí una beca para trabajar en Costa Rica con tortugas marinas durante tres meses, que se terminaron convirtiendo en tres años. En algún momento decidí que quería volver a estudiar así que me fui a Suecia donde estuve un año estudiando un máster en biología de la conservación. Después de eso, regresé a Costa Rica donde estuve otros tres años trabajando como educadora ambiental. Después de eso he regresado a España donde vivo por el momento mientras decido cuál es el siguiente destino.

I studied Biology in Spain and when I finished I got and internship in Costa Rica for three months to work with sea turtles but I ended up living there for about three years. At some point I decided that I wanted to study again so I went to Sweden where I spent one year doing a master in Conservation Biology. After that I went back to Costa Rica again to work as an environmental educator and spent another three years living and working there.
I moved back to Spain where I'm living now while I decide where to go next.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Quiero tener la oportunidad de conocer un lugar a través de su gente, de compartir conversaciones, experiencias e ideas. De tener la suerte de visitar un lugar con alguien que lo conozca bien. No estoy interesada en los sitios que "hay que ver" en la zona. Prefiero las calles más tranquilas, los lugares escondidos o los momentos del día donde no hay tanta gente. Todos esos sitios que sólo una persona local podría conocer.

I want to have the chance to know the place through its people, to share conversations, experiences and ideas.
To have the opportunity to visit a place with someone who knows it well. I'm not interested in the places that "you must see" in the area. I prefer the quiet streets, the hidden places or the times of the day without people. Those places that only a local may know.

No veo mucho la tele, series o películas, si lo hago es para distraerme un rato pero no es algo que ocurra con frecuencia...

I love to read, that makes me feel relaxed. I enjoy almost any kind of music but of course I have my preferences! I don't usually watch tv unless I want to feel distracted but it doesn't happen very often.
I enjoy traveling to know new cultures, places and its people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hace muchos años fui a México de viaje con mi familia y tuvimos la oportunidad de liberar tortugas que acababan de nacer la noche anterior. Era la primera vez que yo veía una tortuga marina y aquella experiencia se me quedó grabada.
¡Nunca pensaría que ese iba a ser mi trabajo muchos años después!

I went to Mexico with my family a lot of years ago and we had the chance to free little turtles that were born at the beach the night before, it was the first time that I saw a sea turtle and it was so impressive to me that it stayed installed in my mind.
I didn't expect back then that it was gonna be my job a few years later!

Crecí en una casa en el campo donde pasaba la mayor parte del tiempo andando en bici y explorando el pinar que hay justo al lado. En este tiempo ya me di cuenta de que quería estudiar biología, para poder entender mejor lo que me rodeaba y poder pasar tiempo al aire libre.
Mis padres siempre han viajado mucho y nos han animado siempre a hacer lo mismo.

I grew up in a country house where I spent my free time riding a bike and "exploring" the pine forest right next to my house. It was in that time when I realized I wanted to study biology, to get a better understanding of my surrounding and can spend my time outdoors.
My parents have always loved to travel and luckily they have pass on that love to me.
