Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to love the hell out of life, to carve an intricate path back to the heart.
ABOUT ME
I love washing dishes and meeting strangers.
I'm in Europe right now having the adventures of a lifetime. I just got done facilitating radical mental health workshops in Stockholm, Berlin, and Barcelona, and now I'm in Bolonia, Italy and heading to Ioannina, Greece to visit the place where my great-grandparents, who were Romaniote Jews, immigrated from to New York City in 1906.
PHILOSOPHY
it has something to do with love and revolution

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've been couch surfing since I was 20 but that was way before the internet existed. I used to ride freight trains and hitchhike all over the USA and Mexico meeting all kinds of interesting strangers and learning lessons along the way. I used to write stories about it. Here's a link to some of them: http://microcosmpublishing.com/catalog/artist/sascha_scatter/

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Once I rode a freight train along the Pacific Coast of Mexico that was filled with men heading to the border of California. The train stopped in the middle of a mango orchard and we all jumped off and filled our pockets and shirts with mangos. We watched the sunset eating mangos with our legs dangling off the side of the boxcar in the late spring evening heat.
Teach, Learn, Share
My friends and I have a network of radical mental health support groups and a bunch of really useful language and tools for leading group discussions. I'm always looking for more people who are interested in similar work to share skills and ideas about sustainable community building and resistance.
