About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I have been quite a healing journey for about a year and now I am on a find a good J.O.B. mission. I'm going to San Jose for a training for a business called "Nirvana Fitness." This company would like to partner with my retreat business Costa Rica Dreamin' Adventures to hold events to teach their meditative fitness routine. I am extremely excited and blessed for this opportunity.

ABOUT ME

I am a San Diego Californian. I love it there and have an amazing group of friends and family I love. I have done some cool things in life living, working and owning a business in other countries such as Costa Rica ( my second home!) and Thailand. I am a former paralegal turned entrepreneur, yoga and meditation instructor, retreat organizer and leader for my company Costa Rica Dreamin' Adventures.

PHILOSOPHY

I like to be in a state of happiness even in the face of challenges.its so much easier! I wasn't always this way, it took some work! :) I try to go with the flow and look at the bright side of things. I think my travels overseas living have taught me to be this way. As a long term budget traveler, it can get really intense if you can't go with it, you may find yourself frustrated quite often, right? I like to trust that things will work out however I also like to take action. Some people forget that part. I am active physically but also in going for what I want. I like to make things as good as possible in any circumstance- living to the fullest I guess you could say with whatever resources are available to me. Sometimes its not much..but when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade! A cliche but a good one! :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For now i am looking to surf but once I settle in a place for a bit I would love to offer my place. I love meeting other travelers and trading stories. There is such a bond between us. We understand and relate to each others experiences that noone else really can without having traveled, especially and specifically the long term travel, the budget travel.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None yet at least not with people I don't know, however I have definitely done it returning home and couchsurfing with friends until I found a place and a job. I have also couch surfed overseas but again with friends only.

Interests

Travel (of course) learning about other cultures, their food, art, and philosophies. Yoga, breathing deep, seeing the eye candy of the world taking it all in and being overwhelmed with joy and gratitude, friends, good food, wine, floating in the sea, snorkeling, climbing myan temples, eating sushi, Costa Rica, snowboarding, beach time and California my home sweet home.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love most music that is done well. I can always listen to a great musician whatever the style or genre. I do love electronica/dance music. I feel it puts you into a positive space more so than other kinds of music. It's a unique shared space when you dance with others to it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I can't put just one! Opened up a sushi bar in the jungles of Costa Rica, climbed many Myan temples in Mexico and Central America, swam and danced with sealions in the Sea of Cortez, went to Burning Man, taught Yoga on the islands of Thailand, attended the BKS Iyengar Yoga Institute in Pune India.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My many many travel stories, my cooking which I hear is fabulous, :) my love of wine, gardening pets, and organizing! I'm very good at organizing and have a professional organizing company called OCD Organizers.
