About Me
Life is too short to be small.
My name is Ricardo, I'm 30 and I like to meet new places, to drink (a lot of) bier and whisky with nice people and to make new friends. I'm really addicted to scuba diving and to photography, and I enjoy playing the guitar and the ukulele without any commitment to be good on it.
As everybody here, I really like to travel. This year I traveled around Thailand, Singapore, Bali and I also did voluntary work for 2 months at Nepal! Now I've just arrived in Venice to study sustainable development for 6 months.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
There is more in places and people than what you can see when you are just a tourist!
Interests
I really like to talk and drink, so be prepared to talk and drink! I like to have conversations that go from science to aliens, and then to food and then to culture and then to the next trip each one started to plan on the last 5 minutes. Just talk about anything :) - and drink.
If you have ever done scuba diving, snorkeling, or even pushed down you head into a swimming pool, tell me the whole history, I really like this stuff! hahaha
I love photography, I used to have a portfolio on the internet, but I just decided to change everything about it and I'm still not satisfied with the new one. However, I have some pictures online and I can show you them if you are curious. :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I spent two months in Nepal in a very country side community helping to build a school, once they lost their in the earthquake. I'm an engineer and I have plenty experience on construction sites, but never I was so satisfied about building something. To know that all I learned studying and working was definitely making a difference there, to know the people that will study there when it's finished and to know that a school can reach much more people than the ones you know was something that really overwhelmed any expectation I had. If anyone has a thought about doing something like that, do it. You will never be the same person again.
What I Can Share with Hosts
- I always got my ukulele with me :D
- I use to travel with my wide lens, so I can take good pictures of your couch if you want! (and of you, your dog, cat, cactus, etc)
- I'm brazilian but I can't teach you how to samba. Sorry :(
