关于我
CURRENT MISSION
To finish writing my book... and teach myself how to write as I go. 70,000words / 246pages so far. Title: The Fool's Tarot, a story about spiritual and mental pollution and the quest for clarity.
ABOUT ME
I'm a bit of a Cultural mixture. Dad was from Estonia and Mum from Berlin. I was born in the UK and now live in Ireland.
When I'm feeling down, I procrastinate.
When I'm happy, I enjoy my comfortable inertia.
Activities: I tried the occasional 12mile bicycle ride into Bantry, - but personally I found the roads to be too bumpy and painful (to be active, I need to be going somewhere). The odd leisurely walk/stroll, sailing (but I'm really only an armchair sailor, as my boat, a 17ft smuggler, is languishing on the hard, filling up with leaves....I really should sell it).
Letting my garden overgrow and go to rack and ruin, whilst still trying to keep ahead of myself cutting firewood.
I don't have a car, but I ride a 650cc motorcycle.
PHILOSOPHY
A problem solver at heart, I hate conflict and work against any rigid fundamentalism. Although I'm a non-believer, I experience my existence in a spiritual way as an integral part of the universe.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far, so good. I took a nearly two year break from hosting, but now I'm offering my couch again :-)
兴趣
Science, Technology, Culture(s), Nature, Ecology, sustainability (If human activity isn't 100% sustainable, human activity WILL come to an end. That's the meaning of the word).
Music:
Learnt a few guitar chords at fifteen (unfortunately, not much progress here). In 1980, a banjo player in England taught me where to put the chords in traditional Irish music. After some practice at his place, we went to a session. At one point, I thought I'd cracked it, when suddenly he shouts over the music, "it's fucking a-minor!" I think it might have been a tune we'd worked on earlier.
On several occasions over that period, I enjoyed playing with Julia Clifford and Packie Byrne at the fairs in East Anglia.
Played the guitar in a band called Galadreel (dreadful pun).
Enjoyed the North London Pub sessions up until the early nineties.
I dabbled on the mandolin and, at the age of 39, picked up the fiddle for the first time......
Writing:
With much trepidation, I started a few years ago. I'm following my intuition on this one (Dyslexia makes it more interesting). Let's see where it leads me.
