About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I take pictures with my eyes
ABOUT ME
I like New York in June, how about you?
I like a Gershwin tune, how about you?
I love a fireside when a storm is due.
How about you?
I like potato chips, moonlight motor trips, how about you?
I'm mad about good books, can't get my fill
And James Durante's looks give me a thrill
Holding hands in the movie show, when all the lights are low
May not be new, but I like it, how about you?

Music, Movies, and Books
Yes, yes, yes!
Cinema is the most beautiful fraud in the world.
Jean-Luc Godard
Movies- Chaplin, Keaton, Walt Disney, Frank Capra, Billy Wilder, Ernst Lubitsch ( The shop around the corner, 1940 movie with great 1998 remake- You've Got Mail.) William Wyler, Blake Edwards ( Breakfast at Tiffany's). French new wave- Godard, Truffaut, Rohmer ( Masculine Feminine, Breathless, Une femme est une femme, Stolen Kisses, The Man Who Loved Women...) Italian neorealism (Michelangelo Antonioni, Luchino Visconti, Gianni Puccini, Cesare Zavattini, Giuseppe De Santis...) Hollywood films of the 60s. Akira Kurosawa, Woody Allen (also his hilarious books!) Fatih Akin, Bergman's Wild strawberries, one spanish short movie called " 7:35 in the morning"...
“When people hear good music, it makes them homesick for something they never had, and never will have.”
That's pretty much how I feel about music. Sometimes nothing moves me more. Right now I don't know how to make this list, and make it short, so I will start with the song that is currently on my player. It's " Where or when" jazz classic by Rodgers and Hart, only newer Bryan Ferry interpretation.
Jazz, bee bop, rockabilly, Sinatra-style, rock, Britpop, film music (especially Henry Manzini!) a bit of classical music ( I am not an expert in this field, so I follow my intuition) Eric Satie, Claude Debussy and Maurice Ravel, "the music impressionism"
Italian classics like Adriano Celentano.
Chet Baker, Enrico Rava playing Chet Baker, Enrico Rava playing Enrico Rava.
Igit...
Beatles not the Stones.
Books were (and still are) my true passion. What do I read? Almost everything. I am in love with bookshelves.
