ABOUT ME

Wow, it's always hard to know what to write about myself! I grew up in the countryside of Victoria (Australia) and then moved to Melbourne!! It's a great place to live with lots to see and do.
I am a pretty relaxed person, sometimes quiet, sometimes not, but generally reserved when meeting new people... working on it, as they say :)
I enjoy a good dicussion and learning about all sorts of things. I am loving travelling and am on the road at the moment with my sister... I guess this experience is bringing us closer! Learning about different cultures and thier histories is something I find really fascinating... imagining all the people that have passed through this life before me and made a difference in this very spot.
Currently living in London :) Moved into a big house with a bunch of CSers, so will be able to start hosting ASAP! Drop me a line if you want to come over... I like baking and am known for making good pancakes!

I'm new-ish! And looking forward to meeting lots of new people... Go along to CS meeting and events, and live in a CS house in London at the moment with the best people!
Did host in our CS house... now travelling, surfing, meeting, talking...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Going to meetings... and living with a bunch of cool couch surfers :) Non-official couch surfing (friends of couch surfing friends) in London, Dublin & Berlin...

Interests

DESIGN - I'm a designer, so I like doing creative things! Making presents and gifts; drawing and doodling; sewing and crafting! I love awesome-ness! I'm talking about WOW factor! When something makes you go that's awesome, OR I can't believe they made that, OR who would have even thought of that??? It can change your life!
MUSICALS - I love them! Who doesn't like rhyming words set to song? And so much the better if there are cute costumes involved in the event! If you are up for a sing-along I'm your girl!
This leads into KARAOKE! I don't promise to be a great singer, but I do promise that I will have a great time!
KITTIES - I love my kitty! So fluffy and soft... Am I a crazy cat lady?? Not yet, but there's still time.
And COSTUMES - I am a fan of the dress-up! Give me a theme and I am there!
MUSEUMS - History and information fascinates me, and it shows you that the world is not all doom and gloom - people keep on going and make it work the best they can.
The 80s - an under-rated generation... some of the best music and most bizarre inventions. Bring back 80s hair... just for a little bit??

TEA - It goes with cupcakes, and it's my favourite!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - Like I said, I like the 80s! (Don't laugh!) Something where I can understand the words. Some favourites?? Red Hot Chili Peppers, Queen, Spirit in the Sky, Funkytown, Whip It!; Ray Charles, ABBA, Michael Jackson, Mozart, Vanilla Ice :)...
Other than that, I am enjoying alot of mainstream music right now, so not too fussy!

Books - I was a big reader, and hope to make more time for it from now on... I have a split personality when it comes to books. On one hand I love the classics - Pride and Prejudice being my favourite, also Jayne Eyre, Mansfield Park, Oscar Wilde, Edgar Allan Poe...
On the other, I enjoy a good fantasy book - Juliette Marillier, the night runner series, Traci Harding...
Other: Margaret Atwood, John Marsden...

Movies - Musicals, obviously! Also the godfather trilogy... I am a fan of one-liners :)

Teach, Learn, Share

What can I teach you??? My family's Italian, so a little bit of that! We can hang out together and draw/craft/create stuff.
I can teach you Sudoku if you like? Oh! and Italian card games. Yay!

I would love to learn more about Photography... right now I am at the point and click stage, but I'm sure there are some rules I am missing!
