ABOUT ME

Hello!
I'm a 31 year old male who loves a good time and a great adventure. My first real experience in another country (USA not included) was my first trip to Scotland at the age of 12. I loved it and have been fortunate enough to return many times throughout the years. When I was 19 years old I needed a break, got a working visa to the UK and moved. Didn't return home for 4 years and lived/worked in many places such as the UK, Ireland, Australia and South Africa. It was such a great time. When I returned to Canada I knew that I needed to go to school. My traveling was fairly limited... only vacations... until now. I was living a nice life in Canada but was way too single and way too bored of the daily grind. I wanted to do a major trip, one that took me to random places so here I am. And I am loving it! Funny how your imaginations, your dreams, your ideas about the world all reach to new levels while the stresses, the things that get you down, never seem that important anymore. I have figured a lot about myself that normally I wouldn't encounter. This is the gift of travel. More importantly, the people you meet directly coincide with the experiences that you have. This is why I have joined CouchSurfing... to meet individuals and experience how they experience life.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I will participate by guaranteeing that I will host travelers when I get back. In Canada I don't see many people backpacking and that is the shame because either i'm a) totally oblivious to the travel crowd, or b) everyone thinks Canada is cold and full of bears. I would love to change that perception!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

This is my first time on CouchSurfers. I signed up some months ago but forgot about it as I was in such cheap countries. I have been told now by a bunch of fellow surfers to definitely give it a shot and I will not forget the experience.

Interests

I'm interested in traveling (obviously), current events, socializing, keeping things random, my beautiful lil Elsie the bulldog, my family, hiking, exercising, hockey, Canada, embracing the unknown.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hike the most active volcano on the planet in the Philippines and then the next day swam with whale sharks.

Everyday in India was amazing. The people who have been know... and the people who haven't should go.
