ABOUT ME

We live in the outskirts of the city of Turku, our children have moved away. However, we've got a lot of joy of being grand parents for five small kids. We are still actively working, but using time for travelling.

PHILOSOPHY

Always wondering how people in remote countries and other cultures have the same ways to feel joy and carry their worries.

Inviting interesting people to visit us and - while travelling - using the CS network to meet people living in the most fascinating environment

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have already found new friends, and have expectations to find some more both here and on our incoming long trip to North America in summer!

Intereses

There are two interest over the other ones: nature and people. We are enthusiastic bird watchers on leisure time, but we appreciate also deep forests and high mountains. Since early years we spend a lot of time at sea, in boat or some small cottage. Finnish nature is already familiar to us, and we'd like walk in other kind of forests and feel the tast of sea wind somewhere else. Before joining the CS we have travelled a lot, and here we expect more contacts with local people.

Numerous things during the years. For example, a day in a Chinese hospital or hitch hiking next to broken car in Russia. Tuija has parachuted a few times from 4 km.
